Farida, the one behind our crochet collection!

Farida, founder of hooks and needles spent a year training the women on crochet-stitching, leading to the innovation of the crochet line which is made of ‘plarn’: yarn made out of up-cycled plastic bags. Her process started by training the women on basic crochet stitching using threads and co-innovating with them through an ongoing trial and error process to reach what we have today 🧶 She passed on what she learned from her mother and grand-mother to the women and girls of Qursaya.
